Moments before forced persuasivethe tingling sensation in my jaw.
These predictions are actually good. Not too hard. I hope all of this comes true.Since I predicted 3/5 of last years questions basically word for word (https://boredofstudies.org/threads/english-advanced-predictions-thoughts.410787/), here are my predictions that you asked for. Keep in mind I haven't thought about English in a year, so this is purely gut vibes.
SHORT ANSWER
There will be 5 short answer texts:
1. Prose fiction
2. Poem
3. Prose Non-fiction
4. Prose Non-fiction
5. Poem
No images this year, sorry.
There will be 5 questions.
1 - 2 Marker (Text 1)
2 - 3 Marker (Text 2)
3 - 5 Marker (Texts 2 & 3)
4 - 4 Marker (Text 4)
5 - 6 Marker (Texts 4 & 5)
------------------------------
COMMON MOD ESSAY
Will be a question involving, how does your prescribed text ignite new ideas in regards to (smthg about paradoxes). This will be harder than it looks at first glance, as they'll ask for the paradoxes OF something, e.g. How does [your text] ignite readers to consider new perspectives on the paradoxes of (insert niche human experience).
------------------------------
MOD A
Feel like the idea of the authors context will be in the question. Maybe a 'To what extent'?? So maybe you'd be analysing the two texts, through the lens of their contextual epochs, which I think is somewhat tricky, but ultimately wouldn't require too many tweaks to a base essay.
------------------------------
MOD B
Going to be adjacent to the idea of structural integrity (maybe asking how a certain idea within the text is developed?).
------------------------------
MOD C
I can confirm, you WILL get a choice. Likely to be 15 and 5 marker.
what makes ppl so certain it'll be storytelling? I'm just curious.okay based on everything i'm really convinced the essay will be something about storytelling + paradoxes/inconsistencies/anomalies. like "how does the author of your prescribed text make use of storytelling to give new insight into the paradoxes, inconsistencies, and anomalies present in human behaviour/inherent to the human experience?" or something along those lines (sort of assuming it's not text-specific)
Is this actually possible20 mark persuasive incoming
if they ask this, use ur discursive but make it high modality and one sided. Is this actually possible
Also I haven’t got a persuasive text in my inspo mod c texts so if it is I’m cooked
How comes you thinking no extracts? two compare questions for short answer is so funny...Since I predicted 3/5 of last years questions basically word for word (https://boredofstudies.org/threads/english-advanced-predictions-thoughts.410787/), here are my predictions that you asked for. i think just because it's one of the only two parts of the syllabus/course outline they haven't assessed yet/at least in the past several years (the other being paradoxes/anomalies/inconsistencies).what makes ppl so certain it'll be storytelling? I'm just curious.
yeah my teacher also yapped a lot about that so it prob will be thati think just because it's one of the only two parts of the syllabus/course outline they haven't assessed yet/at least in the past several years (the other being paradoxes/anomalies/inconsistencies).
I think u might be right. Maybe they'll put paradoxes in too idkim predicting the essay question will be
how does storytelling provide insight into anomalies and inconsistencies inherent within socities
yeah i'm betting on either extract or stimulus for mod b i think?I still think we're getting some sort of extract question this year, its just been a while since they've done it (esp mod b)![]()

i mean i guess 20 mark persuasive is possible but i find it REALLY unlikely, especially after last year. i know that none of the english teachers at my school liked them forcing people not to do imaginative, so hearing those complaints and giving ONLY persuasive would just be insane by NESA. i think we'll get a choice between imaginative and something elseIs this actually possible

Yeah the fallout was too great. They might do monkey's paw and force imaginative though, which sucks for me.i mean i guess 20 mark persuasive is possible but i find it REALLY unlikely, especially after last year. i know that none of the english teachers at my school liked them forcing people not to do imaginative, so hearing those complaints and giving ONLY persuasive would just be insane by NESA. i think we'll get a choice between imaginative and something else
