On the VTAC enrolment sheet for UMelb, it says that i need to bring my completed Request for Commonwealth Assistance Form on enrolment day. Problem is i haven't got a tax file number and i even if i apply tomorrow, which is what im doing, i won't have my tax file number before my enrolment date.
Does that mean i won't be able to take out a HECS-HELP loan since i haven't got a TFN or will i be able to apply for HECS-HELP at a later time?

I think if you contact a branch of the Tax Office they can give you a certificate saying that you've applied for a TFN, which the uni will accept as long as you give them your TFN as soon as you get it. This might vary between unis, but it should be in your uni's enrolment instructions somewhere.
