ESL or Advanced? (1 Viewer)

I'm currently doind Advanced but should I swtich back to ESL? I heard that it is almost impossible to get a Band 6 in ESL, but would I e placed in a higher ranking in ESL because it is less competitive? or should I hang on to Advanced and get sth like a Band 4?

Hi, I'm doing advanced eng though i can choose to do ESL.
Yes it's possible to get ESL but just really hard.
hmm when you said "switch back" is that mean you went up to advanced from ESL?

yeh well although you can "bluge" in ESL, I'm sure you'll find it easy, too easy that you might loss interest on the subject. Advanced is challenging =) so yeh advanced is a better choice.. sounds like it.

i dont think tht its tht hard. i just think tht i might be able to get ahiger mark for ESl .... thts all. do u think tht its more likrly for me to get higher mark if I did ESL? Besides, my HSC is next yr not 2008!

it really depends on your cohort then.

my suggestion: play around with SAM and see what kind of marks you'll need to get in ESL and Advanced to achieve your desired UAI. then decide which one's more attainable.

ask your teachers, they will be able to help you decide which level's better for you

then i may as well drop advance and do ESL if thats how the system works
but then again, i wouldnt be able to do ext
if you're aiming for an outstanding UAI, hardwork is what you need.. not the "Easy" option, not saying ESL is easy, work is work
its always going to be hard, if its worth it in the end
