based on the general consensus on bos about the relative difficulty of the exam, yes.
but who knows really? all just speculation.

I'd guess about 50/84

It was a much harder exam than 2007 that's for sure.

Well, in 2001, the E4 cut-off was 48-52/84.
And I reckon this year's paper was more difficult than 2001.

I'm just going for an E3 anyway..

Anyone have an idea wat E3 (40-45/50) cut-off will be around?

No, that's too low.
The required mark for E4 in 2001 was around late 40s/84, Namu. And judging by my school's results, I reckon this is pretty accurate. My friend came in the last ten of Sefton High's 3U cohort last year, where the HSC exam was easy, and she got 44.

So I wouldn't say that 50 is too low... I hope it's around there anyway. The problem with judging from people who are from BOS is that they reflect the opinions only of a few people, of whom many are interested in study.

I reckon this year's cut off for E4 will be around 45/84, judging on past stats.
It does seem very low... but thats the statistics.
