Estimated cutoff for commerce/economics (Liberal Studies) (1 Viewer)

I think the cutoff won't be that high, as it wasn't even listed in the UAC book, apparently. Also, it is important to consider that people may be frightened from doing the course as it's brand new.
This, for me is a very welcome course (as I'm trying to transfer to USYD's com lib degree), as it will be likely that the usyd cutoff will slightly fall, as well. And usyd seems to like keeping the commerce lib cutoff above 97.60, which would mean vacancies, and vacancies should mean the acceptance of transfer students = funsexytime for me

you're entirely correct. the cut-off is based on the degree with the higher requirement.

what surprised me is that the usyd com (lib) went to 98.85, even though there are now two com (lib) courses offered in sydney.

demand and supply does stipulate that...which can only mean that demand increased more than supply...OR usyd just pulled the number of places for com (lib)
i think that people are just starting to get more interested in more liberal commerce courses. the trend has been for unis to increase the number of core subjects for commerce (e.g. USYD's recent 11 core subject requirement), and people want more choice.
