Hi I need help with the ethanol intermolecular and intramolecular forces where they are found. Is it a ionic, metallic, covalent network and covalent substance in terms of their structure and their bonding.

What are the types of intermolecular forces and how these determine the properties of a substance?

THanks in advanced for those who can help out. much appreciated

Intramolecular: covalent bonds. Ethanol has both a polar end(hydroxyl group) and a non-polar end (ethyl group), allowing it to dissolve in both polar and non-polar substances. The hydroxyl group can form hydrogen bonds with polar substances (e.g. water), and the ethyl group can form dispersion forces with non-polar substances.
Intermolecular: strong hydrogen bonds between ethanol molecules.
