~Not Goodbye~
(inspired by the song 'Just for tongiht' by Manna and Ville Valo)

The night is young,
I feel no fear,
the moment we’ve awaited
is finally here.

The moon shines
and smiles upon us,
the night is ours.
Don’t speak...Hush

Let us dance beneath the stars
under the pale moonlight
saviour our solitude
as our passion takes flight.

The night is young,
I feel no fear,
the moment we’ve awaited
is finally here.

I rest my head on your shoulder,
your hands on my waist,
this moment isn’t eternal
there’s no moment we can waste.

Surrounded by darkness
I find safety in your arms,
truth in your eyes,
you’ll protect me from harm.

The night is young,
I feel no fear,
the moment we’ve awaited
is finally here.

The trees won’t tell a soul
our secret is safe,
our bond unbreakable
written by the hands of Fate.

Your head drops down
a tear fills your eye,
you’re becoming mist!
it’s not time to say goodbye!

The night is young,
I feel no fear,
the moment we’ve awaited
is finally here.

Sunrise approaches
and we must depart,
another night will bring us together
for you’ll forever own my heart.

I always loathe this moment
watching you disappear...
I fall to the ground
and my soul remembers Fear.

Rising from the thousands years of sleep,
Vesuvius abruptly spits its deadly anger
And the poison rain rushes out to sweep
Out the city of Pompeii to feed its hunger.

Ignoring the anarchy and confusion,
The burning ashes of rage
Bring about the last day of Pompeii
Leaving nothing but toxic pollution.

In the Pompeii of the forgotten land,
Amidst of chocking ashes, a new
Cycle of life begins as a bud
Welcoming a new age of fortune

EDIT: The title is called the "Vesuvius", the volcano situated near Pompeii. You are all aware of what happened in the Pompeii after the volcano eruption, right?

I had to write this poem for my brother's assignment where he had to write a poem related to specific landscape. We started with Mount Loa but it proved quite difficult to write so we chose Vesuvius as it seemed easier to write about & we love the dark history related to this particular volcano.

Prepare for trouble!
Make it double!
To protect the world from devestation!
To unite all peoples within our nation !
To denounce the evils of truth and love!
To extend our reach to the stars

I am glad that the visual image that I was trying to project was well passed down to the audiences. :D

You cannot understand my grief.
This pain you'll never know.
You cannot understand this hurt,
How deep inside it goes.
The memories of your smiling face
Destroy my once strong heart.
I felt that I was lost that day
My life was ripped apart.
I would have spent it all with you;
The good times and the bad;
But now I only dream of this:
The life we never had.
I cannot seem to fight the fear
Of being all alone.
You're the only one I've ever loved.
You're all I've ever known.

Is this directed at anyone? (Just curious, nothing intended).

Give me your hand
In my final moments
As I take my final breaths,

I’m dying baby
Whenever you say it’s over,
Every time you turn to leave

Life seems to crumble
Right before my moistened eyes,
In the this whispered moment

I want to forget
That after this night
‘We’ and ‘Us’ are over,

In your embrace
Pain streaks my face
“Must I pull away?”

With a withered soul,
A shattered heart
I now take my leave.

Goodbye dear love,
Goodnight joy,
Good God! I’m lost!

The Rose That Grew From Concrete by Me
Did you hear about the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete?
Proving nature's law is wrong it learned to walk with out having feet.
Funny it seems, but by keeping it's dreams, it learned to breathe fresh air.
Long live the rose that grew from concrete when no one else ever cared.

SMOKE

my fingers scrape the clouds
i have power though my feet and
nerves on end.
my back arches with the difficulty of this elation,
forcing my head down
with thoughts that wont stop.
i remember:

white malleable fireworks that exploded in little whispers around your emancipated frame
it held so little of the sainthood i craved
feel the constant disappointment
and the clouds too far away
yours never matched the ones i imagined

thick air rushes through empty fingers
who knew the earth could shift so suddenly
but this is cyclical, so please if you can,
shut. up.

HEARTLESS

I’ve been knocked down
Had my head cracked open
And my heart trampled on
Laying broken on the ground.

Blood pouring out of me
I watched you play in crimson puddles
Basking in my metallic essence
Lusty as a hellish fiend.

You bathed in my tears
Relished in my pain
And licked your lips
As you smelled my salty fears.

I arose though,
Out of my deep incarceration,
From the Hell where you threw me
Under the watch of a crow.

I’m after you now
With razorblade tongue,
my chest an empty chasm,
hear me howl!

Silver talons will rip you
Hang draw and quarter you
Gleefully castrate you
Make a meal out of you.

You thought you had me down
Eyes glassy and lifeless
But I’ll tell you now
I wear the crown!

I stand taller than I did
See more than I did
Hit harder than I did
Do things I never did.

You’re quivering before me,
With my trident and dripping fangs
I know you’re sorry now
As I turn your sweet dream sour.

I'm so scared my Valentine,
of being left behind;

To watch my man, a soldier, leave
with hopes I'm on his mind —
I'll miss this month for what it's worth
in years he's yet to give;

I only hope, for what it's worth,
they'll let us nights to live —
and pray I'll not a soldier grieve
in years not yet gone by;

We're so young my Valentine,
what's yet to tell is time.

* I voted "write poetry", however do read a lot of amateur poetry. Is it possible to add a "read and write" option?
Hmm... and is anyone else here on AP?

i would post a poem on here but ... i dont think its good but i guessss ill do it anyway xD

As tears crawl down her face
At there very own pace
She thinks with her heart
Only can he unlock it
Or forever shall it be an empty pit

Eyeliner has run , soaky wet skin
As he lays only a finger on her
Thinking to himself as he runs it along
Slowly wrapping his arms around her

Drawing her slowly in
Closely and gracefully they are locked
Just barely by the touch of there skin
Being only shocked
They pull away

One last tear falls to the ground
Only to drown
The last glimps of hope

One grain of sugar
Is too sweet
Only sending her off her feet
One drop of love
Sends her blind
Being only drawn
One day is too long
is this wrong ?

Rainbows flow from her soul
Bringing joy to her heart
Searching and searching
For her witt which is really quiet smart

Raindrops glisen on her cheeks
Making them look like crystals
Slowly she speaks
Wipping the water off her face

She just states
I need my space
Croweds jump out of the way
Walking and wipping that face

Dissappearing into the sun
One boy whispers
Why didnt she run
But it was coming . yet she did not run

The darkness she had feared
Finding herself on a horse
The darkness arising . She just reared
Racing into the dark

One grain of sugar
There is non too sweet
One drop of love
Cant be enough
All she needs is to be held on her two feet

theoretically speaking sorry just wanted to say that
