"outline the role of a chemist employed in a named industry or enterprise, identifying the branch of chemistry undertaken by the chemist and

"explaining a chemical principle that the chemist uses "

does anyone have information to achieve this outcome?

the HSC online does not actually explain any chemical principles regarding the plastics industry - it just gives tasks that they might do, not explain a principle used.

Yeh the priciple behind gas-solid chromatography is adsorption.

edit: although i think adsorption is a physical principle (someone correct me if i'm wrong).

It's not the person's name that matters. It's the industry and the job and what principle is used for that job.

Eg. Analytical Chemist - Sydney water dude using AAS to monitor heavy metal concentraiton in our waterways.

Expand on that.

just relate it to one of the pracs you did. Someone out there has that as a job. And then just give them a company that they work for, say the EPA or Sydney Water or BHP or whatever.

Yeah, though it should be a general question in the exam, nothing too specific, only asking about A person working in AN industry using A technique.
