What do you have to get to get a high band 5 band 6 hsc
I'm coming third, I think 75-80 is my assessment mark, and I think there's a bit of a gap?
Does having a gap matter?
And I go to a small school, if I'm not coming first in all my subjects, is that bad?

High 50's out of 84 raw, is usually borderline Band 6.

You're school's assessments don't (on face value) determine how well you will go in the HSC. It's just an indicator of your relative ability to your cohort. The gap difference becomes negligible if you do as well as 1st and 2nd; it just means you may be a mark or two off, whereas if you do poorly, you may be 10 marks off or what ever your gap difference is.
