okay, so I have this bitch of an assessment task where i have to appropriate the idea of the "tragic hero" that is in "Oedipus the King" by Sophocles, "Star Wars" and "The Crucible". it has to be a creative piece. we haven't been given the proper assignment yet but we were told to get some ideas together. anyone?

Well, I guess what I'd do is find notes on the use of the tragic hero in those three texts, find more about the concept of the tragic hero, and then try to fit what I have learnt into a concept I think could make for interesting literature or messing around with ideas. I think it sounds interesting.

i thought maybe appropriating the hysteria and tragic hero of john proctor in the crucible into the modern day hysteria surrounding terrorism. but im not sure.
