In the extended response sections... how would you structure your essays, or which areas would you focus on for the following topic areas:

  1. Implications/Impact of Sustained CAD
  2. Analyse impact of microeconomic and macroeconomic policies
  3. Aust Government Response to Globalisation
  4. Impact of Sustained Fiscal Surpluses
  5. Changing Labour Force/ Labour Market policies
A problem I sometimes get with extended responses is keeping a consistent flow - not jumbling up ideas. I remember doing an essay from the 2006 HSC paper, on analysing impact of microeconomic form and macroeconomic policies.. and didn't keep a consistent structure.. and was all over the place.

Also, how many pages can you write in the allocated time for an extended response? My teacher expects us to write 7-8 pages.

i think 6 pages r good in 60 mins for each essay...
they always ask a question on globalisation and economic development strategies in response to globalisation.
also, i wud focus on economics issues and govt policies to sustain/target those issues.
make ur essays contemporary! dnt worry bout including all the things in ur essay - just make sure u hav a logical, well structured answer, even if u may miss out a few things. thts wat i understand atleast.
