Hey guys, I'm studying 4U English and I'm struggling with Extension 1. Specifically, the critical response section - I'm prefectly able to write sophisticatedly with good thesis ideas, can analyse well + relate to my points, but what is testing me is the amount we have to write about!
2 prescribed texts, and at least two related texts? In an hour? (1200-1500 words???)
Isn't it slightly counterproductive to require talking about 4 texts in that time span, as it limits the depth of exploration of each of them?
How are we expected to limit each text to around 300-350 words?
Does anyone have any suggestions as to essay structure/bricks that make it easier to integrate and show the detail required for a top band answer?
If it helps, I'm doing Crime Fiction. Thanks!
