So I was given an assessment to do over the holidays for PDHPE. We were told we could email him with any questions, progress, etc. However our school has decided to redesign our entire website or some CRAP during the holidays and I haven't been able to get into contact with him at all and I have therefore done this entire assessment basically unsure.

Anyway I need help. We are to develop a 12 week prorgram for a 15year old who wants to run 1500m of a time 5.10 to win at a regional athletics carnival.

As well as this we have to go into depth with one weight training session and two track sessions.

For the track sessions, you are told to go into the Warm up (fine) Focus of session (???) Details of Session (I just basically said 4x400m with 2 1/2 minutes rest between it) and then A warm down.

I need help with what is meant by "Focus of session"? And perhaps what else i could include with the Details of Session.

If this made sense and anyone can help - thank you!

Well you could include the FITT principle....

The "focus" of the session would probably be "specialisation" and also deciding whether the athlete would be undertaking whole or massed practice.

The details of the session would be just how many intervals there will be, how hard he is going to train(intensity) and how long he is going to train for.
