I am almost certain i failed two of my subjects, as i have just ifnished my half yearlies in my other subjects though i think i got in the 70's and topped the classes as everyone thinks theyve failed.

If i was to get 40's or so in those 2 subjects is there any chance if i work really hard i can still get a band 5? (they were worth around 20%)

its because i dropped 2 unit the day b4 and never got 2 study much..

ur opinions?

It really depends how hard your exams were and what your rank is like. If you put the work in you should be able to get a band 5.

If you rank 1st with 70's
and score a band 6 externally

Your mark will be scaled to band 5 possibly a band 6.

No, if you get a band 6 externally and top your school in that subject, your HSC will be band 6 for that sub.

In school, rank is important, mark is minor.
In real HSC, mark is important and make sure you perform to the best of your ability.
