I've just come to realise that Cameron Crowe is excellent, so I'll add his movies..

Vanilla Sky 2001.. not so much, it wasn't nearly as good as the other 4.

He also wrote the script for Fast Times at Ridgemont High

Matchstick Men! Nicholas Cage, whatsisname, Dustin Hoffman, Al Pacino, Judi Dench are very very good actors (they're not all in that movie) and should stop getting their roles stolen by bimbo no-talent losers such as Hilary Duff and Alyssa Milano, etc. Not that Judi Dench would really fit into the role of a struggling teenage singer, but still.

most of these are childhood classics...stuff i grew up on....ahhh, good stuff.
