I have diverse tastes in radio, I adore Merrick and Rosso, and I also love Adam and Wil. However, I think Mark and Jo and the Morning Crew are nauseatingly unfunny

Just to counter all the anti-abc sentiment, I love abc sydney, particularly Sally Loane, Richard Glover and James O'Loghlin.

I also really like Mike Carlton, although Im not mad on 2UE.

And the most essential radio listening of all is The Friday Chaser on triple M.

Apparently because he wanted more of a talk show format and they wanted music played per hour than talking.

Personally I agree with them, I prefer listening to music when I'm driving home (altho on a side note, and more in line with the actual topic, go the triples all the way ! - i flick between listening to JJJ and MMM)

Now he's doing a talkback style show on Triple M after 7pm, which IMO sux, because there is no music and lots of raving loonies ringing up and crapping on for 10mins about why what they think is the best. :argue: Talkback is for AM radio, not FM !! And Triple M promised him a year to 'gauge listener reaction' so aaaargh, doomed to talkback !! Brings about a strong case for mp3 listening ! :D

How dare you say that!!
Saturday night jukebox ROCKS, baby...for those of us that have no life it does...so therefore, Jafar, I'm automatically assuming it would appeal to you :p

Other then that, I'm a nova girl all the way. 2dayfm sucks. Waaay too many ads, and when they do play a song, its usually cut short so the fugitive can say some crap nobody uinderstands or cares about

Anyone remember when 96.1 used to play metal/rock all day everyday? (this is going back a few years)
Although I moved to tweed heads last year, i still spend alot of time in sydney.
Definitely Merrick & Rosso in the mornings on Nova. In fact Nova's ad policy is great, and the djs are good too. Most of the music is newer than other stations, and is good.
Up here though I listen to RadioMetro (Gold Coast Station). The announcers SUCK! But the music they play is strictly dance and rap music, which is what keeps me listening :) It'd be good if Merrick & Rosso was networked around Australia. I still stream them over the internet in the mornings sometimes while im getting ready for school, thanks to the Nova969 website. (Love Choice Bro Caravan Park/Hospital...I even got their cds hehe)
