Bonjour

"Process and analyse information from socondary sources and use available evidence to develop a modle of a feedback mechanism".

Can anyone give me a nice definition of the negative feedback mechanism.
I know what it is, i just can't find any good definitions.
Also, i don't really understand what a positive feedback system it, how does it work???

(examples/models would be much appreciated) : )

Merci beucoup

Well positive feedback mechanism is just the opposite to a negative feedback mechanism.

Positive is an decrease in a factor which the effector is therefore increased. Best example is water loss. Hypothalamus is stimulated where the pituary gland increases release of ADH and aldosterone. More water is reabsorbed and conserved thus homeostasis is acheived. This may not make sense but oh well.
