Is anyone a fan? Or has actually learnt it in the past?

I've always wanted to learn figure skating but how much time is adequate for each lesson? Afterall, it can get quite expensive!!

Ok. I love figure skating. Despite it is a alot of hard work to land jumps right, centre spin and get enough rotations etc., but i find it very rewarding. I also find it a great way to get away from everything coz i find it very relaxing.

If you're just starting out, maybe see if your local ice rink has group lessons or a "skate school", 'coz you can learn the basics there and find out if you like it or not. You can usually learn up to a Freeskate level 1 in group lessons. From there it's probably best to find a good coach.

For private lessons, probably 30mins each time is good, but if ya can afford it, go for more practice sessons than lessons.

Hope this helps.

Any q's just ask.

:)

Figure skating is quite expensive. I think my aunt pays about $8000 a year for her daughter, but she's at a national level though.
