It's supposed to come out sometime soon (as in, before Christmas) in Japan. They supposedly showed a 60(?) minute version of it at the Venice Film Festival.

Looks awesome...I'm just hoping it doesn't screw up the FF7 storyline.

I remember reading sites saying that Advent children will only be released for the Japanese. The final Fantasy VII 2 game you are talking about is not a direct sequel, in fact there are two FFVII games on the way.

The first one is what you were talking about, its not FFVII 2, its called Derge Of Cerebus and stars Vincent Valentine, it is an action game, not an RPG.

The second FF VII game is an RPg for the mobile fone i think, called Final Fantasy Before Crisis.

But i do hope that SquareEnix stop it with this sub-games within Final fantasy seires, FFX was a good game, but FFX-2, while good on its own, really ruined the FFX game.
