Mozilla firebird is renamed to Firefox.

This release includes a windows installer so there is no reason not to convert to this fully featured web browser.

Netscape (now dead) was built on the mozilla engine, so this is by no means an incompatible browser.

my only quibble is that is it a little slow to start compared to ie and opera.

Type "about:config" in the address bar with out the quotes.

IE style scroll:

set "general.autoscroll" to true.
set "general.smoothscroll" to true.
Middlemouse.ScrollBarPosition to true.

Speeding up the browser:

set "network.http.pipelining" to true
set "network.http.pipelining.firstrequest" to true
set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to true
set "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" to 0.

hope they helped...

KICKASS browser!! :D

There's also an extension for Firefox - "Preferential" - that displays all those options from "about.config" with explainations in a much easier to use form using threading...
