from what i have been reading, this is not a stable release and the theme is not finished....it looks very dodgy

but that's only from what i've been reading from other people, yet to try it out myself
i'll stick with 0.8 until the stable version is released

I'm using it now.

1) I dont like the theme
2) i feel the menu bar is to small.

but apart from that no problems as such.

is that is RC1 version?

i'm using that and it is much more stable then 0.8, but 0.8 extensions don't work :(

so I will stick with netcaptor for time being.

Mozilla = the full package, everything with email and chat etc

Firefox = browser only, think of it as the lite version

I've always used Mozilla, even though I only use the browser. I tried Firefox for a while, except it just felt a tad different - that bugged me heaps, and I ended up moving back to Mozilla.

Well not "problems" as such. The default skin felt somewhat different (kinda 'smaller' it felt) and I couldn't find a skin that was exactly the same. The preferences felt kinda bareboned as well.

It just 'felt' different.....:p

i prefer firefox to mozilla... firefox is alot faster and cleaner. Never use debian apt-get to install it tho.. cause it'll mean u can't add on the extensions without root acess and u won't be able to get to them without root access theres a way to work around it for sure... but i cbf'd so i use it just as is (at the moment till i fix this stuff up)

heheh yeh i know what you mean about just "feeling different" (although i didnt notice it much between mozila/firefox). You get used to it after a while though...like moving from ie to mozilla totaly "felt different" back then for me lol. Oh and you can make the icons larger which looks a lot better (somewere in "customize" option when you right click on the icons).

lol Sunny, give it one more try (version 0.8) and see if you'll go back again...:D

I have just started using FireFox a few days ago, and out of the three browsers on my Mac (IE, Safari and FireFox) it is the most buggy, but at least it crashes less than IE.

Safari is still better ...

If only they had Safari for Windows I would try it.
Things about Firefox irk me though like:
You can't 'ctrl-w' down to no tabbed windows; when you're down to the last window and ctrl-w, it closes the program
No minimise to tray option to keep it running
Can't have the tab toolbar open on default?
Doing ctrl-n opens a new Firefox program, not a new tabbed window
Can't close all tabs at once
Using the open all bookmarks option in a folder seems to wipe out the current tabs you have open instead of creating new tabs

These are some of the stuff I've gotten used to in Avant and I have given Firefox a go but still, I'll be sticking to Avant for now cause it loads quickly and is very customisable.

That happens in Safari too, well at least in ver 1.0. VERY annoying bug, esp when I accendently click on it ...
