Oh ok but either way we know everything by the end of Thursday.

Gotta love how BOS doesn't tell us when things are released.

If someone in your year comes first in a subject you're doing, does it drag everybody else up a bit or a lot?

not really cause they would have gotten 1st internal, 1st external so it wouldn't affect the guy who came 2nd much, if at all.

1st place externally has a big affect on the rest of the cohort actually.

The gaps between ranks are accounted for. So if 2nd is very close to 1st internally, this will show in their results. Goes for the whole cohort.

but if the guy comes first internally and first externally gets 100 then that's his mark.

the guy who comes 2nd internally and 2nd internally gets 88. how does the 1st guy getting 100 or 89 affect the 2nd guy?

If 2nd is close to 1st internally then 2nd will get an internal mark close to that of 1st. So if 1st gets 100 externally (and thus internally too), then 2nd will get an internal mark close to 100.

Huh??? i've never ever heard that before. I thought they just line up the external marks people got in the cohort and then apply them to the corresponding ranks....

Nope they look at the gaps between internal ranks as well.
