We were never taught this but i keep seeing it in txtbks.

"K" normally means equilibrium constant, products/reactants = K

if you do industrial chemistry as your option then you need to know it... if not then no.

u should still know Kw for core tho (acid-base)
it's good to have on hand in case u need to find pOH.. and i know u can do it pH + pOH = 14 but still... it's not hard yeh?

well its easy to remember.... but to understand it, you'll have to go into law of mass action, like successful collision of particles... its lots of physics involved
