I'm using an Italian film 'Rosso Come il Cielo' for my related text for belonging.

Now I've written a paragraph about belonging to a culture and I thought I'd use a bit about how there is use of dialect and how it symbolises a stronger connection between father and son.

Eg in the film the father uses 'fo' 'I do' which is part of the Tuscan dialect instead of Standard Italian 'faccio' I do. Would this be sufficient, or would if be better to focus on other aspects because it would be annoying/difficult for the markers to check as it's in a foreign language. My other quotations I just offered a translation instead of mentioning the Italian.

For all your quotes, use a translation. But make sure to make it clear that this is a foreign language film, and also mention which language the quotes are originally.

Ok. So with this one should I just say the use of dialect in the film and not worry about giving specific examples
