I was just wondering, is section I and section II in separate books or is the whole exam stapled together?

I know this is only a small detail but when I get curious, it's hard for me to stop wondering. =p

The whole paper is stapled together but you can pull off the multiple choice, formula sheet and electives. They are stapled as booklets within the whole.

The multiple choice you normally can bring out and the formula sheet. The electives you normally can but are known to be refused.

The rest of the paper you answer on the question sheet.
The multiple choice are answered on a machine marked single sheet.
The elective is answered in a booklet.

Quick question,
Ive heard if you run out of room, or make a mistake and want to answer the question again etc, than you can use a writing booklet. How do you connect this to the question? Do you just give it to them with the rest of it and it will end up in the right place?

If you run out of room, then you will be given an extra booklet and you write the question number on the front and it is collated with the original paper. MAke sure you write see extra book to ensure the marker sees it.
