yeah i thought the chimpanzees learnt sign language too... and i never heard any mention of ants at all. Our trial was today, and thanks to having read part of this thread i knew it was a guinea pig!!! lol, otherwise i would have been like what the hell is an indian pig. ah well. hehe it's nice knowing the questions in tests... but i thought that whole test in general was really easy. 4 out of 5 of us finished with an hour to spare.

Yup. I felt like such a knob when the teachers screeched: "5 minutes to go French Continuers!" *teacher looks around hall* "Oh, there's only one of you" *teacher lowers tone of voice* "Oh. Well just remember 5 minutes left...."
LOL Classic! I don't think it was you who was the knob, that teacher sounds like it... :p

Hey seriously... It's called a cochon d'Inde or something... pig of india... indian pig. I don't generally go around talking about guinea pigs so it's not a name i ever bothered remembering! And the chimpanzees definitately did sign language, though i never heard mention of them oing anything else.

Yeah, I've had trials...

One of the questions was to write to my french penpal, advising her on what kind of job she'd be good at for after le bac.

And "You've been to a party, email your mate and tell them about the party"

and "Give a speech to yr 10 telling them about senior school life".

Anyone get the one, I can't remember exactly how it went, but "Marie posts a message on the internet" (contemplating life and happiness...rah, rah, rah) "She has asked everyone to respond with their thoughts on her topic"

So.... Lame..... :uhhuh:

argh, i had that animal one in an assessment a few weeks ago. argh, i so don't know my animals. stupid guinea pigs. and when writing my notes, i wrote down hen as 'pull' so i was left thinking 'What?? jumpers can recognise other jumpers in photos???? argh!' later i realise, 'ah, POULE!' so sad. i have a speaking assessment tomorrow, last assessment yay! and good practice for saturday! i always find, though, that the listening is the hardest part of the exams. although french teachers are totally wacky.......everyone else adds on the reading time (2hrs plus 5min reading) but no, french teachers minus it!! in our writing we had to write a letter to a head of school thanking them for the experiences we had had (gag) and write a speech to the school assembly on the benefits of language learning. not too bad.

I got

reading - 9.5 + 9.5 = 19/25
listening - 20.5/25
writing - 13/15 + 5/6 + 6.75/9 = 24.75/30
speaking - 17/20

I didn't think my speaking was too flash, so i guess our teacher marked leniently cos he usually marks really harshly, but for trial everyone got >16. I misunderstood most of the reality tv part of the reading section.

I'm really nervous for tomorrow though, moreso than the PLC practice day (obviously). So yeah good luck everyone for tomorrow.
