Possibly getting a RX-8 after the HSC...auto only for other family members, which brings the power down to 154kW...then I found out the Australian spec has only 141kW! What's going on, that's the same power as a Camry ffs...

Really? i didn't know that they made these RX-8 in Auto? does it have sports shift?
so they are only 141kw at the engine?
Are they out yet? i havn't seen one on the roads yet!
What kinda engine do they run on? not like the RX-7 aye?

RX-8 does come in auto, I think it does have sport shift (tiptronic in other words) and it still runs the unique rotary engine, although a new variant known as the Renesis, with two rotors.

Manual in Australia has 177kW, 7kW down on the Japanese spec.

As for the Mazda 6 Sports, very good car! Refinement is tops, engine not so tops, but still a very nice car.

Naturally Aspirated, comes to Australia in September I think...although a while back I heard it was coming this month, but since then, seems like it's been pushed back to September

Possible plans for a new RX-7 too, and a turbocharged RX-8

As for the auto-manual thing, auto's are usually down on the power for some reason, protect the gearbox or something? Depends on the car.

What I really want is the V8 GT-R...

The proposed one, not the one out now. Estimated 300kW, but it's not even confirmed yet, just a rumour. Hmph.

The ones now are twin turbo inline sixes. Wouldn't mind one of them either...

Yep, twin turbo.

It didn't really look anything like the r34, it has a weird shape.

I drive a subi liberty. Though hopefully i'll get a silvia soon.
