doesn't look too difficult besides maybe the very last question, cut off will probably be the similar to last year around 80 give or take 1 or 2 (as a percentage)

Idk felt so pressured today. Never had this feeling. It was almost as if the entire hsc was based around ext 1 maths.

The probability A wins was 1/2 so you find an equation for probability up to n and then multiply both sidens by 2^(n+1) to obtain the answer.

the 7th game has to be a win, therefore probability of 1/2 is locked in
any of the remaining 6 has to have exactly 4 wins so 6C4 (1/2)^6 so multiply in the 7th game

for part i

Was I the only one who didn't show working for the first 2 circle geo because the verb was what is and the other one had a different verb which explicitly asked for working?
Will I lose a mark for this?

Found it pretty easy, but I lost 1 mark to a stupid mistake >.<
I feel as if everyone who state ranks this year will get 100%

Should've done past papers. I didn't know how to tackle like half of them.

Solved about 90% of Question 11, 50% of Question 12, 25% of Question 13 and like 10% of Question 14. Multiple choice was probably an 8/10.

Shit, now I don't have a safety net.

As if you wouldn't show it anyway?

People saying 58 raw will be B6 cut off are way off. You need to remember the majority of the cohort aren't getting these high marks. The cut off is usually between 48-52/70 and this year will be no different.

You were not required to provide a proof for finding the angles in the first two parts.

Hey be careful bro, it was 2^(2n) so you had to multiply by 2^(2n +1)

Solution to final probability question:

EDIT: there's a mistake in the final line, the second term on the RHS shouldn't have a half. (wording isn't great, but you get the picture)
