Aarrgh.

How did everyone go with the question in MC that had a triangle b = 1 - a over b.. or something along those lines?
I think it was -1

I'm in the top Advanced Maths class, and have been doing fairly well throughout the whole year.. but I found that extremely hard.

Didn't manage to finish Section 1, and had to guess some multiple choices.

Anyone feeling the same here? :(

Sounds like a lot of people found that easy (great for you guys!).
I feel the same way...i'm in advanced maths, but i suck at basic skills and can't do anything unless i spend the week before memrizing how to do it! I guessed some of the multiple choices and i didnt know how to do some of the stuff from the writing section.

Most people in my grade said they found it quite hard, then again my school is pretty dumb.

That's alright - I left the third section (20 marks) under my formulae sheet.

Dialogue:

"Pens down" (double checks student numbers and finds one sheet with no number...opens sheet...finds new section with no answers whatsoever)

"Fuck"

Ouch :(. Think I would've chucked a spaz attack if that was me.. in my head at least. Let's hope you went well in the other sections then!

I'm absolutely horrible at basics and anything non-calc.

And looking around seeing people on 2 or 3 pages ahead of me isn't so reassuring :(.

So much ambiguity. (At least 2 questions.)

Who the hell knows what relative frequency is anyway.

Overall, it was stupid, I think. I don't see how anyone could've not aced that.

I didn't get the friggin quilt question - in the end I just guessed 60 by 40
Did anyone get that one?

Ah yes I got Bruce as being wrong too, I think I put 31ish degrees

Apart from that, I finished like 45 minutes early so I just put my head on the desk and tried to sleep... didn't work tho...damn air conditioning

I got 80 x 40 for that question.

Think it was the only one that could've had the same width all the way around, which I got as 6.6 repeater.

I put they met at 60 seconds. I just kept wrighting out the multiples of 20 and 16 until i found a number that they both had the same

by the way it said they were running in the same direction for 20 and 16 seconds not they finished at that time, maby u read it wrong
i disagree ppls!! the question asked how much longer it would take her for her to overlap that guy a second time.....

so taht means;; with logic you would...
*in teh first lap the girl will overlap him with a 4 sec infront lead
... understand??
* therefore it would take only another 12 sec before she would over take him agen??

But thats i think... comments?

LOL.

It was OK. I couldn't figure out two questions in the non-calculator section but got them eventually.

1) That construction question (last question)... At first I was like... yeah, let's measure the angle... then I read the top and said that it wasn't to scale. LOL. So then I made it so much more complicated for myself by going through what to do... like constructing perpendicular lines. And when I figured it out, I was literally going to slap myself because it was so easy. Compass.

2) What on earth is relative frequency? LOL. Well, I wrote 420 at first but then I selected a (1) because I had a nudge that it may have been the fractions + fractions etc.

3) For that track question, I wrote 80 sections because that was the LCM of 16 and 20. LOL.

It was alright, all in all.

They met at 80 seconds. . .

20+20+20+20 = 80

16+16+16+16+16 = 80

You're thinking too much.

Relative frequency is % chance of happening = out of 1.

I had to guess a few multi-choice q's though :( like the last two!

Shoot you may be right LOL.

For the silly borders question about the cot thing, I put 90x60 because like.. 80/7=11.something and there were 5 bit inside the thing that were along the y axis of the rug and so 5x11.something=60 so yeah. I did that at the last second though.

As for Bruce's wire, I also got 30 degrees 51'.

I got 80 too.
But everyone was like, "YOU'RE WRONG."
So I just shut up.
