The Subject Lecturer is a genius, though. "I will make you do all the work for this subject, I'm going to sit in the corner drinking booze."

Hey guys, wondering if you can help me a bit. Noticed a few of yous have written Personal Statements for course's so..

Im applying for BBus/ BScIT and just incase i dont make that, the normal BScIT, for main round, and writing a personal statement (non current school leaver). Just wondering about how long the personal statement should be (usually is), whats the main things i should write about and etc etc.

i replied to something like this a while ago.

say how much u wanna do it and why? say u love uts cos u heard and found out that its the bomb(even though its not). say u will suck their dicks if they let u in. (JK) . say how u have a passion for that degree and how it will help u find ur dream job. say how devoted u are to ur studies(even if ur not). so basically just say alot of bullshit about yourself that will make you look like you have a halo over your head. oh and mention ur previous studies and how they relate if they do.... too lazy to type any more. good luck

have you checked the uts website regarding personal statements? That should give you a guide as to what to put in and stuff.
Mine was around 1700 words, but they didnt specify a minimum.....think max is 2500 words however.

What information and documentation should be provided as part of the Personal Statement?

The Personal Statement must be written by you and reflect your personal views. It should contain statements which:

• reflect on your educational experience to this point and how it has prepared you for studying the course/s for which you are applying (results of formal study will be available for us to view via your UAC application);
• indicate your knowledge and interest in the area in which you plan to study (you may include here any relevant details of short courses you have undertaken);
• outline your expectations of the course/s for which you are applying;
• reflect on any work (paid or voluntary) you have undertaken - you may also wish to include details of your work history; and
• mention anything else about you that will help us assess your application.

If you're unable 2 find the page with information on Personal Statements, than maybe IT isn't such a good idea.

Biomedical science is after advanced science (UNSW), and before advanced science (UWS).

The APEC public holiday is on friday.

Also, it just happens to be the Faculty of IT Non-Teaching Week, and the Faculty of Business APEC Non-Teaching Week.
I've heard this is not the case for Science and Law. Not sure about the other faculties.
