I went to the RTA website on licence times and spaces for bookings- you pretty much can do it anytime you like. Not like booking for the red-P test.

noob =O
thanks
I'll check it out
I'll go for it next week sometime after my accounting exam ;)

because i turned off email notifications - mySpace is ducking annoying as i used to get these random event invites.

only way i'll find out about messages or invites on mySpace nowdays is if i actually go and log in.. which i don't do regularly.

I bought a copy of Vista today. I wasn't going to but I decided to anyways lol after I realised it wasn't like $400 or whatever for the normal versions.

Re: The UTS 'Secks and Welcome the New Students' Thread

-.- i wouldn't install vista if i had a free copy, its very screwy...

its a very good system, but right now it has too many strings.

I installed a beta version of the software last year, it was nice and mostly what they say it is, but unless you like to be an early adopter or want something specifically in vista theres no use, especially since they've made alot of changes complicating interface between software and hardware in the name of security.

better off waiting till the early users take the brunt of running into bugs, so by the time u get it late on it should be a bit better.

it also introduces Trusted computing, which basically is vista determining what you can and cannot do/access.

would there be any way to disable it ?, because if thats the case with Trusted Comptuing; I don't think I want to get Vista.

nup, the company behind the technology refuses to put in a owner override feature (giving the owner some form of control over their computer), because they say its a security/piracy risk.

wouldnt that be illegal in a way because a 'third party' is practically controlling your computer (as you have no say in what it blocks or dosent block) without you agreeing to it doing so?; cause if you think about it, say a hacker gets control of ur computer, you would have no control over you computer and probably wouldnt be able to access what you want too..and that is known to be illegal; so when Trusted Computing stops you from accessing stuff without you having any control over it doing so; isnt it in a way similar to what a hacker does?

Re: The UTS 'Secks and Welcome the New Students' Thread

lol, thats the arguement, and you're paying for it.

It's not to that extent, but it is pretty sucky, it dosen't let you access content it deems "unsecure", so like older dvd''s which don't have the anti piracy measures current dvd's have.

lol i don't really know much about it, but someone told me abit about it and it sounds sucky.
