Joe you aren't supporting local business though:

Optus is owned by Singapore Telecom, whereas Telstra is obviously Australian owned.

isnt o-day being run by the uts union, whilst your orientation day being run by your faculty?

^nah, only enrollment is faculty based i think. and the faculty welcome. i just wanna know WHY we need to go to oday...

You don't have to go to Oday but most do, as its purpose is to showcase some of what university life has to offer (e.g the clubs and societies) as well as a handful of activities. However orientation is more specific to your academic development and is thus mainly uni run (as opposed to the union).

Telstra i use for my internet
but optus cant do it in our area :(

and optus is better than telstra with this student turbocharge deal weve got on offer. ;)
