i got da normal filters wid my two cordless phones and no probs....i'm taking of the type that come with the router...that plug beteen da phone and socket

sounds like an attempted rip-off by TPG saying you HAVE to have the DSL-10CF (the central filter or aka splitter) for $25 when the free ones work just fine...

Yeah thats what i have been thinking, damn i got ripped off.
Hangon, could u guys pick up ur cordless phone and tell us if there is any interferance, and ring someone to see if there is and also if ur speed slows down

just used the phone and did a speed test...

143.8 KB/s and no interference...

Shit, cause TPG were saying that it would cause interferance in phone calls, like their would be more "noise"

lol and they sad it only affects uniden and panasonic cordless phones....those are the two i have :eek: hehe...YOU REALLY DID GET RIPPED

*shakes head in disbeleif * i have panasonic too...

to TPG's defence, maybe it does interfere with OLDER cordless phones coz mine is pretty recent...

Yeah, i have 2 panasonic phones, luckily i personally didnt pay for those filters

my panasonic one is quite recent but da uniden one is pretty old...oh well TPG still offers good value broadband

My panasonic phones are fairly old, and TPG offer great rates and plans

actually i remember reading somewhere that if you got a specific type of line, you need a filter. otherwise you don't. they just recommend everyone use a filter so it saves them the hassle.

i've tried having the cordless plugged in without a filter and been surfing the net with no problems what so ever....
