Is this a glitch? Because it seems rather strange :

I entered the marks :

2003 Economics 92
2003 English Advanced 93
2003 EE1 47
2003 EE2 44
2003 Drama 92
2002 IT 79 (Since i sat IT in year 10)
2003 Bio 88

And i got a UAI of 97.7 without IT counting. However, when i switch IT to 2003, it still doesn't count but my UAI goes down to 97.45. Glitch or no? :p

UAI is calculated on best 10 units.. IT was your worst subject so thats why its not counted.

UAI will change everyear. last year it was lower compared to 2002 i guess because people did bettter last year? i dont know.

Did the UAI's for each year change or just the final display.

It may base it on 2002's aggregate because you had units from there.

Yeah, thats probably it. Only the final output changed (not the UAI's from 03 - 01)

The 2001 - 2003 UAI results use a specific conversion formula that has been tailored for each year.

Note that when all your results are from 2003, the "NSW UAI" score is the same as the "2003" score.

However, when you mix results from different years, a generic aggregate-to-UAI conversion formula is used to determine the "NSW UAI" score.

It might make more sense to determine the most recent year in which the student has completed a course, and choose that to be the UAI year. I'll keep it in mind for the next version of SAM. As it currently stands, you can see the calculations for the other years anyway, so there isn't much to be achieved by making it explicit.
