Adam Lance (Global VIP Stage):

The VIP area was awesome, nice chairs everywhere, relaxing (well probably because there was only like 4 other people there when we were there) and Adam Lance provided some nice funky house to chill out too.

Won't bother scoring him though, since it wasn't really a 'performance'

Gay Bash DJs (Forum):

Forgettable. Didn't play any tracks which the crowd loved.

2/10

The Aston Shuffle (Ministry Of Sound Stage):

Was better than I expected, he churned out his remix of Pnau's 'Baby' which was awesome. Ashton and I continued to just chill and sit down, but then he dropped 'Simon Says' and the place went insane, pity he didn't play the full original though and only the introduction mixed with some dance.

5/10

Anna Lunoe/Kato (Forum):

Disappointed as they usually play all types of cool shit, and they mostly always play Dizzee, which they did, but it was 'Stand Up Tall' mixed with some house music. They stuck to dance music which was a bit shitty.

4/10

Tydi (Godskitchen):

First time I've seen the 'No 1 DJ in Australia' I was impressed, but he didn't wow me. Ajax has done way better sets, but maybe because he was at Godskitchen he was pressured to play more techno, which isn't exactly my favourite type of music.
He was decent though.

5/10

The Orb (Godskitchen):

These guys are so old school. I remember 'little fluffy clouds' from when I was in primary school. Was hanging out pretty much just for that song, the set was very strange. They opened with 'Without Me' by Eminem mixed with some ambient stuff. Was fun I guess.

They mixed 'Gay Bar' with the muppets song which was awesome!

Then they did an 8 minute performance of 'Little Fluffy Clouds' which was awesome awesome awesome. Loved it.

7/10

Sasha (Future Stage):

I saw John Digweed at Future Music Fest this year and it was fucking awesome. Second best to Chemical Brothers for that day. So naturally I was looking forward to Sasha, also because all the reviews of the Melbourne and Perth Global Gathering's have deemed Sasha the highlight of the day.

He had 2 hours to get into it so he took his time building up his first track. When it dropped though it was awesome, I love the style he plays. Thought it was really really really good and wish I could have stayed longer but glad I left when I did because ATB was amazing.

6/10

ATB (Godskitchen):

Woah! As soon as I walked in I was in heaven, he was playing a remix of 'Empty Streets' by Late Night Alumni which I LOVED. Then he went into some awesome prog. Soooooooooooooooo much fun. It was so damn hot in there though.

7.5/10

DJ Sneak (Ministry Of Sound Stage):

Caught the last of his set. Awesome. Played all crowd pleasers like 'Around The World - Daft Punk' and 'Music Sounds Better With You - Stardust.' Awesome. Definently got everyone in a dancing mood.

6.5/10

Gorillaz Sound System (MoS Stage):

Amazing. The visual show was great. They played 'Dare' twice! they went through all the gorillaz popular songs and also played other people's well-known stuff, excellent, excellent track choice.

From memory they also played:

50 Cent - in da club lol
Kanye West - Golddigger
Missy Elliot - Pass That Dutch
AC/DC - Shook me all night long
Blur - Song 2
Basement Jaxx - Where's Your Head At
Groove Armada - Superstylin'
Roots Manuva - Witness (1 Hope) (was sooooooooo happy to hear this, sounded SO FUCKING GOOD on the sound system)

amazing. Definently the highlight of the day.

9/10

Mark Ronson (Future Stage):

I heard he was bad live, whoever told me that should die. It reminded me so much of The Roots live. Big band shit doing covers of awesome modern songs. They did a cover of 'Simon Says' which was INSANE...and then 'ANTE UP!!!' and thennn 'Apache' which The Roots always do live so it was so awesome for me. Even though I don't necessarily like Daniel Maywhether's version of 'Stop me if you think you've heard this one before' it was AWESOME live. Definently made me a fan. Oh the cover of Justice's 'D.A.N.C.E' was great too!

8.5/10

Kraftwerk (MoS Stage):

Was planning on just checking them out then heading to A&B but was mad tired so don't think A&B would have been a good idea or I wouldn't have been able to walk home. Kraftwerk were alot better than I expected. Their music sounded great over the system and they looked like pedophiles which was sexy. They played some fucking weird shit though, about mannequins and autobhans and radioactive stuff. It was awesome to hear the song that Coldplay got the riff for 'Talk' from as well. Really glad I saw them in their last time ever in Australia.

7.5/10

Great festival.
