Hey guys,

I am commencing Bachelor of Music - Jazz Performance at the University of Adelaide. The problem I have now is that I’m going on a family holiday during the second semester in September. I will miss 3 three weeks of uni. Am I able to go away during the term as a first year student and is there anything I have to do before hand?

Thanks,

Kyri

depends on the attendance requirements of your classes, make sure you look it up. Also that's a whole lot of work to catch up on.

You can usually get away with missing two weeks of university- but 3 weeks of classes may be a bit too much. You'll have to look it up. Plus, assessments could be due around that time.

I was on a holiday in December last year, and was doing a subject externally. Yeah, it got very stressful at times and that was on external mode.

I will say though that universities expect students to be there, and not take holidays during the time of classes.
