They have finally enabled video playback.

You need to download a small codec to use it.

I'm guessing alot of people will be taking advantage of the free hosting avaliable. I wonder how they are making money from this... there aren't any ads on the page.

A lot of their high-bandwidth services don't have ads. Maps, images, the webproxy, and videos. I guess they are trying to make money by offering these services without ads just to get their name out there, so when people think "internet" they think "google." That, or they have a fuckton of bandwidth they have no idea what to do with.

Spose google's still got a few billion to spare from entering the stock-market at the right time.

Who'd thought that just by creating a search engine with a good idea, as a simple free service would create billions?

I spose the stock-rocket came from realising google is basically the centre of the internet for most people......and probably to stock investers, google is the internet, so adding more services makes the illusion greater.....but who's complaining, a ew free serice is fine with me.
