I just finished my half yearlies and produced, well, a spectrum of results, most of which put me on the "haappii" side. Note the incorrect spelling of "happy" on the left as I try to be consistent with the enunciations and grammar of the fine people who own a 'bebo'.

Congrats with your results, simonloo. From hearsay, I gather that you're doing very well.
Hahahahahaha.

Anyway, I get my results back next week - the suspense is starting to set in.

hey thats awesome thats what im aiming for too except i want to do engineering and desing in architecure then set up my own firm eventually
Hey Guddu. How have you gone in the exams (English?) so far? Was that directed at me or someone else. Actually I'm interested in architecture (due to my interest in graphic tehnology), but it's not that high on my list of careers.

hey black hawker man.. u cant do denistry in nsw as an undergraduate....? so do u mean oral health instead?
I don't exactly know yet. As you can see, it's not my first choice, so I haven't really though that much about it...

GOt some of my results back...

Physics: 50/55 Rank: probably top 5/60ish
Bio: 39/60 Rank: hard to tell as of yet
Maths 2u: 53/60 Rank: probably around top 10/ 120
English: 24/40 Rank: probably average
Chem: 45/70 Rank: shit <--------- huge disappointment considering i was average around 85% before half yearlies

I still have SOR1 and Ext maths to get back. I hope to get around 80% for 3u maths, fingers crossed.

Marks... ranks hmmmm yeah

Eng Adv 37/45 rank 3/204
Eng ext 22/25 rank 1/38
Modern 55/65 rank 2/63
Legal 75/90 rank 1/62
PDHPE 53/60 rank 2/67
Maths 69/78 rank 5/92
Biology 54/70 rank unknown but probably around the middle. I think I'm dropping this because its my worst mark. Is anyone else considering dropping a particular subject after half-yearlies?

wow your school marks hard!! 22/25 is first for ext eng? girls in our year were hitting 24.5, which means when u actually start getting that mark u will be very, very good at english. good result all round, u cood drop bio but just maybe think about why u arnt doing so well and how u can improve. u are obviously an intellegent person i think its probably more a matter of work, im sure ur just as capable if not more so than any1 in ur class. just consider if its worth the extra 2 units free per week overall. remember u dont hav to drop anything

Advanced: 24.5/30 ------ 1st or 2nd/90
Extension: 29/50 -------- 1/60
Maths X1: 67/80 --------- =7/120 (What a tough test. Three of my friends did really well, and were the only ones to get over 90%. LOL. They are geniuses!)
Chemistry: 61/70 -------- 5/80
Biology: 58/70 ------------ 9? 10? 11?/70
Modern history: 39/40 -- 1/40

Um, is this normal, for me to be topping extension English with 58%? I mean I go to a selective school and I've been told by ex-students that teachers at my school mark insanely hard (They averaged like 50% - 70% in year 12, and they got E4). Doesn't ease the pain of 58% though, LOL. Overall, pretty pleased with my results.
