Yeah this is a bit "out of topic" but it still relates to the Half-Yearlies...does any body have a reason as to why North SYdney Boy's high only started their Half-Yearly exams on tuesday?

Depends on the school, I guess. There's no set rules as far as I know.

Got my report marks today:
Maths - 92 (= 1st)
Maths Ext - 73 (9th, I think)
English - 75 (Above the median by 4, at least. lol)
Chemistry - 82 (by my estimate 4th, could be lower though)
Business Studies - 91 (= 2nd)
SDD - 75 (2nd)
Music - 90 (1st/2nd, not sure)

Need to beef up English and Software, otherwise pretty happy. Just hope my Music doesn't slip (although if it does I suppose it just won't get counted).

I must say though, I have no idea how a lot of these marks were worked out. I won't argue though, they give me above 90 on SAM

Mainly rock I guess, I can play a bit of classical but not a heap. Would like to learn some jazz but having a bit of trouble finding a place to start. You?

Mainly metal, but I love learning other genres, even though I am better at metal. I'm really into jazzy chord progressions at the moment.

As much as I would love to stay and chat, I ahve to get up at 6:30. Stupid living 4 hours from sydney business. I bid you farewell, my friend.

Ah okay, cool. I don't mind playing a bit of metal, but I prefer bluesy rock kind of stuff.

Haha, no problem. I get up at 6:30 too, though mainly because it takes me 30 or 40 minutes to get out of bed. Seeya

True. I guess I'm mostly happy with that because it's higher than expected and more than half the people doing 3 unit do 4 unit. Plus I'm worried about my Software Project knocking me down a few :p

Ahh yeah. Fair enough. 9th is pretty good when you have to compete against the extension 2 people! :)

Hey. Lol i haven't been doing the best in English at the moment, though i have passed all of my assessment tasks, so far. I just wanted to know, seeing that English will definitely count towards your UAI, how much will it affect it, say it is my lowest scoring subject also with the lowest ranking 6/12. Will it affect it significantly?

English Advanced- course rank =4/ 91
English Extension 1- course rank and exam rank 3/7
Ancient History- 77/100- course rank 4/97
General Maths- 87/100- exam rank =1/192
Industrial Technology Graphics- 86/100- Course Rank =1/21
Physics- course rank 6/23
Visual Arts- 91/100- Course rank 1/65

If possible I was curious if people thought I would be able to achieve an 80 plus UAI.
