Hamlet / R + G HELP!!! (1 Viewer)

I have to do a speech whereby im asked to 'explain and evaluate how our comparative study reflects the following......
"Something old, something new, something borrowed and something new"
Refering to Hamlet and R + G are dead'

I am not the best at speech writing. Plus my teacher is not clear on the connections between the two plays. I am really in need of help and am looking for any advice.

Look at the themes, like the way those of the Elizabethan time thought of and viewed death, religion, fate/destiny, royalty etc. compared to those of contemporary audiences i.e: todays audiences.

You could say that while Stoppard did "borrow" things from Shakespeare, he transformed it, thus making it "something borrowed, something new".

Something borrowed: The transformation of the theme from Hamlet to R & G
