This is more a 4 unit q, but:
since from part (a) you proved that F(a)=F'(a)=0 for multiple roots,

you simply just let P(1)=P'(1)=0 and you solve for a and b.

Sub in x = 1 into P(x) , you get
a+b = -6

Then sub x = 1 into P'(x) and solve simultaneously.

tommy is spot on. it just means that

p(1)=p'(1)=p''(1)=p'''(1)=.........=P^7(1)=0
