Hi Everyone...
I have a speech due next Tuesday on Hatshepsut. I have done most of it, but was wondering if anyone has any notes or advice on what I could talk about.

Question:
YOU ARE HATSHEPSUT. MAKE A 4-5 MINUTE SPEECH TO THE PEOPLE OF EGYPT OUTLINING THE FOLLOWING:
~ YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS AND THE BENEFITS THEY HAVE BROUGHT TO EGYPT.
~ A 'THANKYOU' TO OR COMMENTS ON THE PEOPLE WITH WHOM YOU HAVE WORKED (MAY BE POSITIVE, NEGATIVE OR BOTH)
~ AN EXPLANATION OF ANYTHING YOU HAVE DONE WHICH MAY SEEM WRONG OR UNWISE TO YOUR PEOPLE.
~ YOUR RELIGIOUS BELIEFS AND HOW THEY AFFECTED YOUR ACTIONS AND DECISIONS.
~ AN OVERALL ASSESSMENT OF YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO EGYPT.

I would really appreciate anything anyone can contribute to this. Thanks heaps.
Sarah.

yes, what parts in particular are you having trouble with?
in VERY general topics, i would look at:
ACHIEVEMENTS: extensive building program, military campaigns, trade expansion
THANKYOU: basically thats just a list of key advisors (High Priest, Master builder, Thutmose and other military leaders, her father (literal and spiritual), diplomats etc.)

uh, the other topics are really too big to even generally comment on unless you can tell us what you've already got and what direction you'd like to go with them, there's just too many things you could concievably talk about.

Sorry, yeah I've written some stuff on:
~ the expedition to Punt
~ thanks to senmut, and some other advisers and nobles
~ explanation for why she is pharaoh - divine birth, coronation, and full blood heir

thats about it so far... any more ideas?
