For example, today i lost my USB. Which had ever single assignment on it, so i have to restart everything all over again. I'm just lucky that i had my summary notes printed out and that my assignments aren't due until next term so i have time to restart them..

But have you ever lost something when you really needed it?

2 USBs and a set of keys. All attached to one another. :shy:
Though it wasn't a time of need, wasn't anything I hadn't backed up.

someone dropped my usb into a swimming pool three weeks before trials. i didnt have any of it backed up and it had all my modern notes, ext 1 and ext 2 eng notes and half my economics notes on it, among other things. i dried it in the oven and it worked for about 5 mins, (where i frantically saved it EVERYWHERE) and never again.

i learnt my lesson big time and was VERY lucky

actually, i havent learnt my lesson. similiar thing happened a few weeks ago with uni. but lecture notes are easy to redownload

OMG never EVER just have one copy of something EVER, especially since lecturers and teachers etc don't count it as an excuse.

Who hasn't?

Worst was probably a 1500 word essay I had to rewrite a few hours before it was due.

I thought I was backing it up, but the backup was saving to the temp directory and I lost that also.

Yeah, a usb with all my notes on it for year 10 trials (seemed important at the time); twice.

Since then, I've sent everything important to my school portal inbox, instead of backing it up to the computer.
