If I say that I will pay upfront and don't end up paying it...does that automatically go to HECs?

Apparently not. My mate got onto the thing to select how he'd pay, he selected upfront seeing as he couldn't be fcked finding his Tax File Number (TFN). He then just recently checked his email to find he had a heap of messages about paying and that the university were already expecting a payment of 1500 bucks lol.
