I was supposed to message this months ago but ....
These are my HALF YEARLIES however the RECENT finishing of my trials DEFINITELY brought me down....*sigh* i actually studied the night B4!!! and didnt sleep at all. I did much better in halfyearlies than trials cos my technique is cram study so halfyearlies there's less to learn.

My school: nonselective
local
public
just a normal school "down the road" however we do
get people in the 90s each year
not famous, not infamous
about 900 pple altogether from yr 7 to 12

My rankings in half yearly report:

Advanced English: equal 28/63
Maths: 3/45
Maths Extension 1: 4/20
Biology: equal 7/40
Chemistry: 4/23
Physics: 5/15

1. I did surprisingly well (i think) here.
2. But i didn't keep it up especially for my recent trials worth like 45%.
3. Assuming i'll do well again for the external exam (god i wish)

..........do u FEEL that i'll be able to get just 90 or above??
My family is depending on me cos we're quite unstable at the moment in everyway. I just dun wanna put them down.

Thank You

marks would be a nice start

positions dont mean alot without marks to go along with it

why would marks be important if all schools do different assesments?

Marks would help, because (Im not saying this is the case here), but what if ppl were failing all their assessments (which could be easy) and still ranked first?

Hmmm.. my only guess to that is that they got 100% in their half-yearly exam, but are coming third out of all assessments.

Still, trial marks would give a better indication of how well you might go in the HSC. Trials are far more important and are closer to the real thing, they're usually even structured similarly to the HSC to give you the right feel.
