Help me! (PDF problem) (1 Viewer)

For some ridiculous reason i cannot open any PDF files in my browser. If i click on a link (such as the one on the main boredofstudies site,) all that appears is a little icon in the top left corner of the page. Why is my computer doing this to me? I can open PDF files is i save them to my computer then opent hem through my documents but that is a pain in the bum! Someone help me! I have XP and Acrobat reader 5.0

hmmm..... that is wierd...

a work around would be to right-click the link and "Save Target As..."

Then open the saved file by double clicking it

Can you make me a screenshot and post it of the little icon whatever your saying

to make a screenshot

press Print Screen/ SysRq on the keyboard next to F12

then go to paint and Edit> Paste and save it as jpeg

Looks to me like the plugin is stuffed up. Go download and install Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0 from here.

actually while i have you attention, whenever i open a folder sucj as when i go File, open in word, the list of documents and files is always in reverse alphbetical order so the folders are at the end of the list. How can i fix it so it is alphabetical with the files at the start?

Right click in an empty space (file browser)
Arrange icons by... Type

If they are currently in "reverse", then that's all you have to do. If they are arranged according to size, date modified, or name, then you would need to re-configure the file view, to suit.

For example: by name, you would click "arrange icons by name" again to undo the sorting option

Now the folders will be at the front, and your files will be at the end (normal)
