Ruse definitely still has some standard but I feel soon it will decrease, worst case scenario it plummets; because of the rise of underdog schools like nbhs and syd grammar, it doesn’t have to be like this year, but they’ll catch up

I believe so, it's odd for a selective school to do that but ig it would be good for someone who enjoys sport but also wants an academically focused school

This is crazy. This is legit the definition of "Diversity, Equity and Inclusion". They are doing this as if there's only 1 girl per grade.

Yup. A boy doesn't have a better chance than a girl in making it into a selective school at all. All the government is implying is girls are inferior intellectually and therefore need a helping hand (unfairly - lower test score requirements).

Bruh in the next like 6 years, all the top coed schools will reach like min 5th rank or below and all the private and guys schools will be on top cause of this rule

yea didnt they also make a rule at one point so that they reserve 20% of selective spots for people who are disadvantaged or disabled

Yeah I heard of that rule, but I don’t recall any disabled people being in jr though right? I know Baulkho has a class of disabled people, but yeah i don’t understand why you’d do that, can’t you make a localised disabled class and if they’re smart you could join them with a talented and gifted program in that school
