Help needed for Jewish bioethics!? (1 Viewer)

I have a pretty sound understanding of where they stand on issues such as abortion and organ transplantation.
I was wondering if anyone could help me with where they stand on suicide or euthanasia!?

Do you seriously think I didn't try that?
It was hard finding exactly what I was looking for in simple terms.
The thing is, my teacher taught us straight off notes from the internet because she doesn't know what she's teaching. She basically just read straight off the sheets without explaining them.
Which, as I'm sure you can guess, is shithouse.
So guess what? I've done that. and hello, still don't understand.

I was wondering if anyone had studied it and understood it and could help me out.

@ OP...Bioethics is difficult, esp. from a Jewish POV.

I suggest posting up what it is that you are actually having issues with so people can help you.

Unfortunately, you wont really get a black and white overview as it is contentious.

with jewish euthenasia
it is the same as christianity.
all varients (reformist - orthodox) do not allow it.
although you can say all religions are slowly working towards allowing it for people who have terminal illness to stop their suffering it is seen as the most humane thing to do.
although it is a commandment "thou shall not kill"
and we of course do not play god, so who are we to choose when a person can or cannot die, we should let natural law take place.

but yes to answer the question, suicide/euthenasia is not allowed
