hey guys! im new to boredofstudies, im in year 12 next year and i would like some help for chemistry =] I'm really bad at calculations ):

1). Iron metal is extracted in a blast furnance by a reaction between iron (III) oxide and carbon monoxide:

Fe2O3(s)+3CO(g) -> 2Fe(I) + 3CO2(g) :hammer:

To produce 1000kg of iron, calculate
a). the mass of iron (III) oxide required
b). the volume of carbon dioxide produced at SLC (25degrees C and 101.3 kPa)

2). A solution containing 10.0g of silver nitrate is mixed with a solution containing 10.0g of barium chloride. What mass of silver chloride precipitate is likely to be produced?

2AgNO3(aq) + BaCl2(aq) -> 2AgCl(s) + Ba(NO3)2(aq)

THANKS HEAPS GUYS :angel:

:balloon:

using moles, bro
e.g Fe2O3 + 3CO -> 2Fe + 3CO2
1/2*1000/56 moles <- 1000/56 moles
hences mass of Fe2O3 = n * M = 1/2 * 1000/56 * (56*2+16*3) = ... g
