I'm a first year and I'm mega confused about what is required for Commerce. I've referred to the handbook and still don't understand. I asked a friend how many comp cores to enrol in and she said to do 1 since I'm doing Comm/PR and it may be heavy if I add a 2nd one. I have another friend who's doing Comm/Law and she's doing 3 comp core in this semester and 1 law... so I'm confused as to how many comp core is needed this semester..

So far for Commerce I'm in:

ECON1101 (Comp) and One Flex (TABL1710)

To better succeed in ur media courses, suggest u do MGMT1001 as it helps heaps with academic writing

MARK1012 may help with media as well

I ended up just doing ACCT1501 and ECON1101 for Commerce. Sigh I felt like I did the wrong thing... but if I do struggle with one of them, will probably take your advice and do one of those courses before the census date. Thank you. :D

Basically, there is no "requirement" apart from the fact that you have to complete all your courses by the end of your degree (obviously).
Choosing the composition of your semester sometimes determines the difficulty of the course - as well as the overall effort you need to put in.

e.g. 4 ENG courses would be way harder and time consuming than 2 ENG + 2 COMM
